KCAL Insurance and AmTrust Show Their Appreciation to LA County Fire Department

With the pandemic still going on and wildfires occurring from time to time, firefighters have dedicated their time to serving and protecting the community, fighting against the wildfires and on the frontline during the pandemic. To express their gratitude to the firefighters, KCAL Insurance and well-known insurance company AmTrust showed their appreciation by providing lunch to the LA County Fire Department. On August 6, KCAL and AmTrust stopped by Stations 118, 43, and 91 to deliver and provide lunch to the local firefighters.

Kenny Chang, President of KCAL Insurance Agency and Member of the Los Angeles County Commission on Insurance, and Angela Chang, Chief Strategy Officer of KCAL, both attended the event. Mr. Chang stated that firefighters contribute so much to the community, dedicating their lives to protect the safety and the homes of the residents in local communities. He mentioned the importance of disaster prevention awareness, and to have routine inspections and fire alarm installations to stay prepared. It’s also important that your home has the proper insurance coverage to ensure comprehensive protection. In the unfortunate event that an accident were to occur, home insurance would help minimize personal loss.

Aaron Scheps, Regional Sales Director at AmTrust Financial Services, and Omar Ahmad, Regional Sales Manager at AmTrust, also attended the event. They mentioned that insurance companies often work with local fire departments when handling fire claims, and they wanted to thank them for all their hard work during these challenging times. With the hot and dry summer weather, the chances of fires are a lot higher than usual. Through this event, they also hoped that they were able to bring awareness to the public by reminding them to pay attention to their everyday habits, such as making sure to only throw away cigarette butts and matches that have been fully extinguished and avoid smoking in non-smoking areas. These are just a few ways to stay safe and prevent fires. Preventing fires can lower your risk of financial loss and prevent your home insurance from increasing.

The appreciation event was organized by KCAL Insurance and well-known insurance company, AmTrust, who has also been known for supporting well-known Chinese restaurants in the local community.
