Dear Valued KCAL Customers,

At KCAL, our ultimate goal is to protect the safety of all our customers. I hope that you are staying safe and healthy during this time of uncertainty by maintaining proper hygiene habits and practicing proper social distancing by only going out for essential needs.

Insurance companies also understand that with the current situation of the epidemic, many consumers have been driving less than usual, and driving less means fewer car accidents. In response to this, many auto insurance companies have already taken action to help consumers reduce their spending by providing partial refunds on premiums based on your policy and premium amount.

You might be wondering, “How can I receive this refund? How can I apply?” And my answer to your question is simple. There is nothing you have to do at this moment. There is no application process. If you have an active policy under a qualifying insurance company, refunds will be returned to you automatically.

Which insurance companies are currently offering refunds? We have collected the following information for your reference:

Allstate (opens in new tab): 15% of your monthly premium in April and May
American Family (opens in new tab): one-time, $50.00 payment for each vehicle insured
Esurance (opens in new tab): 15% of your monthly premium in April and May
Farmers (opens in new tab): reducing your April auto insurance premiums by 25%
Geico (opens in new tab): 15% credit for renewals between April 8 and October 7, 2020
Liberty Mutual (opens in new tab): 15% refund on premium between March 23 and May 22
Mercury (opens in new tab): 15% of monthly premiums in April and May
Nationwide (opens in new tab): premium refund of $50 per policy
Progressive (opens in new tab): 20% credit on premiums in April and May

**Refunds may vary by policy and premium amount
