Major 2026 Changes for CA Health & Medicare

Starting October 15, the federal Medicare Annual Enrollment Period officially begins, and Covered California has simultaneously released next year’s individual health plan rates. KCAL Insurance reminds consumers that California Health Insurance 2026 is entering a period of three major shifts: sharp premium increases, reduced benefits, and stricter income verification for individual plans.

The Medicare market is also expected to see rising premiums and tighter eligibility reviews, which may result in loss of benefits or significantly higher medical expenses if consumers do not review and update their coverage in time.
