The 2025 Business Seminar session in Diamond Bar on February 13 was a great success. Even with heavy rain, over 200 business owners, HR professionals, and financial managers attended, showing the event’s importance in the business community.

The seminar featured experts from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), Employment Development Department (EDD), Internal Revenue Service (IRS), as well as experienced attorneys and accountants. They provided in-depth insights on the latest labor laws, employee benefits, corporate tax updates, and disaster loan applications.

William Lai, a senior labor law attorney at Chang & Cote LLP, emphasized,

“Labor law changes in 2025 remain frequent, including restrictions on requesting driver’s licenses from job applicants, leave rights for crime victims, and minimum wage increases. Employers must keep their policies up to date to ensure compliance.”
