For Blue Shield members, please note that each household has only one ID number and one insurance card. You will only be able to see the name of the policyholder on the card, unless you login online\u2014in which you will be able to see the entire family\u2019s information. This creates much confusion for new enrollees because they worry if the insurance is effective for their family members or if there was a problem with the enrollment process.<\/p>\n<p>To resolves these concerns, it is suggested to register online with your ID number so that you could confirm that all your family members are enrolled and that the date of birth, name, gender, mailing address, and all other information are correct. With their online system, you will also have access to your benefits plan and information about your primary physician. You will also be able to set up monthly automatic payment options online.<\/p>\n<p>Many Blue Shield users have noticed that Allied Pacific IPA is not their current network after switching from another insurance carrier into the Blue Shield insurance plan. With that being said, make sure you check who your primary physician is before going to the doctor.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">For previous Health Net users, you might have had an insurance number that began with an &#8220;R&#8221;. In 2018, the insurance number will now begin with a &#8220;U&#8221;. If you have not received your insurance card yet, make sure to contact your insurance company immediately so that the doctor\u2019s office you\u2019re visiting will be able to find your insurance information.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4>If you have not received your insurance card yet, take initiative immediately and check if you missed something during the insurance process!<\/h4>\n<p>The first step you need to take is to check if the payment for your premium has been processed. Sometimes when the insurance company tries to withdraw money from your bank, they get rejected for various reasons. With that being said, make sure to check that the bank account information you provided is accurate. If the premium payment successfully went through but you still have not received your insurance card, then you can ask for your insurance card to be mailed again.
