William W. Lai is a partner at Chang & Cote.  Mr. Lai represents clients in a broad range of business matters including all aspects of general corporate and business, general corporate counseling, labor and employment, real estate transactions (buying, selling, leasing, financing), intellectual property, contract drafting and negotiations, asset and stock purchases, private equity transactions, joint ventures and partnerships, and shareholder/partner disputes.  

Mr. Lai is fluent in English and Mandarin-Chinese, which enables him to better serve his clients effectively and efficiently.  Mr. Lai is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is licensed to practice before all the courts of the State of California and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

Mr. Chen manages the firm’s various practice areas. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chen was with Deloitte and Touche in charge of audit engagements plus tax services as a tax manager. Mr. Chen’s other professional experience includes management positions in companies with complex multistate issues in the area of income, property, and sales taxation.

Mr. Chen is a certified public accountant in the State of California. He received his MBA – Finance degree from the Marshall School of Business at University of Southern California and an undergraduate System Science degree from University of California at Los Angeles.
