Make a plan for evacuating your pets before disaster

Experts suggest the following steps to take for pet owners when natural disaster happens: 1. Create a pet-friends evacuation plan. Identify friend of yours or hotels can accommodate your pet. 2. Make an emergency kit. Make sure you have include seven days'worth of water and food supplies, medication supplies and pet medical records. 3. Provide proof of identity. 4. Understand your home insurance policy. Do not assume temporary lodgings for your pet will be covered but there are companies that pay for boarding expenses of pets.
