U.S. teen pregnancy rate remains highest in developed world
According to data released from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, teen pregnancy rates in the United has the highest rate among all developed countries. The most recent controversy originated from the federal government's refusal to allow emergency contraceptive pills to be sold over-the-counter to girls age 16 and younger. The report shows that half of the teen girls age 15 to 19 who became pregnant were not using any method of birth control.
