Blue Shield Opens First Retail Health Insurance Store in California
Blue Shield of California has taken the bold step of opening the first retail health insurance store in San Francisco. The 500-square-foot store will open on Nov.7 within a Lucky supermarket store in SF. The store will provide consumers with wellness assessments, wellness education, service and information on plans and claims. As for why choose a grocery store, nearly 60 percent of consumers surveyed agreed with the statement "I think about my health when I decide what groceries to buy"when surveyed.
